Introduction

Council has established the Economic Stimulus Policy (the program) to provide the community, building owners and developers with the opportunity to apply for an incentive. It reflects the intent of the Central Highlands Regional Council (council) Corporate Plan 2022-2027 to support regional industry development via advocacy, planning and incentives and protect and promote the heritage of our region.

This grant round will consider applications that meet the assessment and eligibility criteria outlined in the policy for Stream 5. 

Applicants requesting pre lodgement advice under Section 9 of the Policy should contact the Strategic Land Use team to arrange an appointment.  

Stream 5: Development Applications Fees and Infrastructure Charges - Long-term Residential Accommodation

The intent of the stream is to support development that will increase the variety and amount of long-term accommodation in the region. New housing development is necessary to support industry growth and workforce attraction and offer a broader choice for residents.
